  today we wandered through another antique market. kai was fussy and temperamental  (we’re reaching 2…need i say more?). after lunch, i rescued the other customers in the restaurant, and took kai outside to try and get him to nap. we strolled along the bumpy streets, along side-streets and alleyways until he was sound asleep.  there is such an ebb and flow with motherhood. those moments when i long for kai to be more independent but in the same breath yearn for him to need more from me. it’s a tug on my heart. but in the end…i just love each moment we spend together.
